The f88-4 phage display vector is based on the filamentous phage cloning vector fd-tet (AF217317.1). The vector contains two major coat protein genes (wild-type gene VIII and artificial gene rVIII) resulting in the expression of the two proteins under the induction of IPTG. The artificial gene rVIII contains a 21 bp stuffer that can be replaced with random oligonucleotides to create a phage display library.
