With the help of a drug discovery method commonly used by the renowned Nobel Laureate George Smith, a team lead by the trio of Jessica Newton-Northup, Mette Soendergaard, and Leann Kuhlmann-Qi are collaborating with various labs and pharmaceutical companies to develop new drugs. This unique team of three Mizzou alumni are focused on utilizing the phage display technique to create custom drug libraries geared towards the treatment of various diseases, not just cancer. The team's connection with Mizzou in Columbia is what sets them apart from others in the industry.
