E. coli CJ236
Cell Origins provides researchers with critical phage-based laboratory services and kits. We focus on the use of filamentous phage as an inexpensive, reliable, highly stable, and effective replacement for many products currently on the market.
Complete page context
E. coli CJ236 cells generate ssDNA for site-directed mutagenesis using the Kunkel method. These cells replace a portion of thymine(T) in their DNA with deoxyuracil(dU). The resulting ssDNA can be effectively utilized for mutagenesis. CJ236 is dut- ung- and carries an F-factor with a chloramphenicol resistance selectable marker.
